OMG LOOK WHAT JUST CAME IN THE MAIL :D
I drew this about three months ago and then put it away because I was furious at it. It’s not finished but I like it more then I remember. It is called “The Sewer Cleaner” and it is a scene from the book “A Fine Balance” by Rohinton Mistry.
I don’t know what it is about this style so much but I adore it. I wish I could emulate it. straight linez <3
Roderick squinted into the dying light of the evening sun as it fell behind the jagged peaks of snow-capped mountains. A bitter breeze raced down the slopes of rocky foothills, blowing through grassy fields, through his tousled hair that scrambled in all directions. The earth, painted in streaks of rusted bronze, stretched eastward in rolling meadows and farmland, but here, where Roderick stood with gloved hands glued to his sides, it was stripped bare of life. An overwhelming silence filled the air, interrupted only by the sound of grasses brushing up against each other, or by the rhythmic tapping of a shoe against the dirt.
I totally own this movie. Watch it every year at Christmas.
